Renders are the final, exported outputs generated from a Tempo publication. Each time a render is generated, it counts toward your organization's total number of renders. A render is generated when you click Generate Output from a Tempo publication.
When Is a Render Counted?
A render only counts when:
- A user generates a new output from a publication.
- The publication has been changed since the last output was generated.
Renders are not counted when:
- A user returns to a publication without making changes and downloads the latest output. Multiple users download the same render.
- Tempo stores the most recent output of each publication version. As long as no changes are made, you can download and share the same file repeatedly without incurring additional render charges.
What Happens After I Make Changes?
If any changes are made to a publication (think text edits, image swaps, or layout adjustments) or if a new output type is selected, then you will be prompted to “Generate output” to reflect those updates. This action does count as a render.
Is Render Behavior the Same for All Users?
Yes. Once a render is generated, any user with access to the publication can download the output. The render is tied to the publication, not to the individual user.
