Content Interface > Social Posts

This article discusses the purpose and functionality of the Social Posts tab/view within DivvyHQ's Content interface.

Note: DivvyHQ has sunset the integration to publish directly to social platforms.

The Divvy Details

Divvy provides an additional feature (and an interface) that enables drafting of social promotions within content items. In some cases, the content item is the social post, but sometimes you might be using the social post feature to promote a long-form content piece (ex: a blog post). In the latter case, the blog post is the content item, and users can create and store social posts as part of the blog post.

Additionally, users can set an anticipated publish date for their social posts, which then displays those entries on the calendar. We also wanted to ensure users can both see, manage, and export that post data to facilitate review, reporting, and bulk publishing within a social media management (SMM) tool (ex: Hootsuite).

The column structure for this Social Posts view is obviously very different from the other content interface tabs/views. Columns include:

  • Channel - The channel to which the post is set to publish (including the channel icon)
  • Post Content - The text of the post itself (including clickable hyperlinks)
  • Publish Date - Either the past or future date on which this post was/is to be published.
  • Created By - The user who initiated or scheduled the post.
  • Post Image - The attached image in URL format as it is housed in DivvyHQ.

Various filters are available in the event that you need to narrow the list of data down to a specific subset. There is also a "Delete Content" bulk action that can be used to bulk delete social post entries. Simply click the checkbox next to the post(s) you wish to delete and select Delete Content from the Bulk Actions dropdown in the top left.

Exporting Social Post

One of the major use cases for this Social Posts interface is to give users the ability to export multiple entries into a CSV file that can then be imported into a SMM for bulk publishing.

You can use the filters to get the list you desire and click the CSV button in the top right corner to export out the social posts. From there, you can import the social posts into your preferred Social Media Management (SMM) platform. The import should then honor the message, channel, publish date, and attachment associated to each post.
