Which features have been worked on/added to Lytho since the latest release?
Excel export from dashboard
Besides the Create and publish export from our dashboard, we are excited to share that we have added the option to export the statistics of the Asset manager. This functionality creates an overview of all the actions performed in the Asset manager. Have assets been shared, downloaded, or used in publications? By whom? and when? All these questions can be easily answered by the use of this new feature!
Auto-assign tasks depending on group-level
Tasks are assigned to those who are authorized to execute them. However, if your Lytho environment consists of many users which are divided into separate groups, the task will only be assigned to the authorized users within that group.
Your Lytho environment has three user groups: two normal groups and one sub-group under 'group 2'. If an unauthorized user from that sub-group (2.1) requests approval when uploading assets to the Asset manager, only that one authorized user from sub-group 2.1 will be assigned the task to review the uploaded assets.
If that 1 authorized user is removed from sub-group 2.1, the task to review the uploaded assets will be assigned to the authorized users of the parent group. In this case Group 2.
Your Lytho environment has user groups per division and each division has two sub-groups: users authorized to approve assets and unauthorized users. If an unauthorized user from division X requests approval when uploading assets to the Asset manager, only the authorized users from division X will be assigned the task to review the uploaded assets.
But when that specific unauthorized user who uploaded assets, is moved to the subgroup 'unauthorized users' of division Y, the task to review the uploaded assets will be taken from the authorized users of division X. That task will now be assigned to the authorized users of division Y.
Background of images with transparency
Images with transparency can be hard to 'view' when it consists only of thin outlines, or when the color is the same as the background. With this update, we will make sure that Lytho will show a grey and white checkboard pattern for all images with transparency, in all Lytho modules.
Display creator and creation date for publications
Created publications are now marked with its creator's name. A small improvement desired by many of our customers in addition to the approval flow (publish restriction). When reviewing a created publication the reviewer can now easily see who created the publication and can adjust his or her message accordingly.
Search for permissions in the settings
The list of permissions can get pretty long. We thought of a way to make is easier to apply permissions by adding a search field at the top of the list. Just start typing and the matching permissions will be filtered out right away.
